How to Get More Traffic to Your Web Site

As with most Internet-based business endeavors, how to get more traffic to your web site is an ongoing process. It is important for you to try new things all the time. If one plan does not work well for your company goals, try a different online marketing idea, and so on. Whether your business is a new one or one that has been operating for many years, the importance of getting additional visitors to your web site still exists. I have listed some ideas to help you get more visitors to your web pages.

Step one:

Make sure your keywords and key phrases, including tags and image descriptions, are optimized for SEO purposes on every web page. Every phrase and or keyword should be about your services or products/business. The search engines will find your web site easier and so will Internet users who are searching for specific items. Think like a shopper when creating web pages.

Step two:

Submit your URL to leading website directories and search engines: Yahoo, Bing, Google and Dmoz, for example. You will get more traffic to your web site by following these steps and the following steps.

Step three:

Article marketing is one of the top marketing techniques used today. Establish your trade and niche and write articles about them, or hire a freelance writer to create them for you. Then, publish them on sites that allow you to add a resource box at the bottom of each one or ones that permit you to add backlinks (your URL embedded within the article). Put at least 10-20 articles on each site.

Step four:

Create a blog and write shorter posts in the same manner as writing articles.

Additional methods you can use to get more traffic to your web site are:

• Joining forums similar to your business or niche
• Writing press releases
